About the curriculum program

Founded and piloted at Morehouse College by Shaniah Francis, Alan Cowan, Jahvon Hylton, and Demola Ogunnaike, TBO’s curriculum was created to educate and advance students through chess play.

The program hosts an 8 session-week long curriculum with live lectures, materials, assignments, and programs. The sessions are led by a combination of TBO staff, masters and International masters. On top of the educational sessions hosted every Monday, students participate in extracurricular events and compete at in-house tournaments to enforce the application of educational content.
